This video asks whether the process of representing images of the past can provide a form of historical encounter, and documents my attempt to re-visit a point of “origin” (the moment I found the photograph) that focuses on the photograph as an object of fascination. By thinking through the impulse that drew me to this image I come to a point at which the object and image within converge into a newly re-localized representation.
